Hi, my name is Andy Street. Let me take you on a journey through Scotland’s history, culture and heritage.
As a Blue Badge Guide accredited by the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, I am fully qualified to help you explore this wonderful nation, no matter what your interests, or the reason for your visit.
After many years working in Edinburgh’s Financial Services sector, I decided it was time to follow my real passion – for history, and for telling a good story. Scotland certainly has an abundance of both!
Initially moving to the city to study Politics & Economics at the University of Edinburgh, I have lived in Scotland’s capital for many years, with my wife, Kathryn, and two young sons, Matthew and Jamie. I have extensive experience guiding throughout the whole of Scotland.
Whether you are interested in exploring romantic ruins and historic battlefields, taking in some of the most spectacular scenery on Earth, or relaxing in one of our vibrant, modern cities, I would be delighted to help you to make your visit to Scotland a memorable one.
The Scottish Tourist Guides Association is the professional body responsible for the training and accreditation of tourist guides in Scotland. The STGA is the only professional membership body for fully trained and accredited guides in Scotland and is endorsed by both VisitScotland and VisitBritain. The Blue Badge training programme covers the whole of Scotland, is accredited by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) and is acknowledged internationally as being of the highest standard.
Blue Badge guides are rigorously trained and assessed in group management and safety skills, are covered by the STGA’s Public liability and Professional Indemnity insurance and hold regularly updated First Aid qualifications.
